Hey guys, I have an idea. Lets share what each of us think is the best adsense tip anyone should follow through. Here is mine: Write quality good content whenever you get time, it will bring traffic and adsense will go up!
If you want to make good money with AdSense, multiply the effort you put in for your site X number of times until you are satisfied with what you earn with Adsense.
Ok for a REAL tip. Organize your Adsense in a "F' shaped pattern. People read left to right and will start from the left side of the screen. See my site if you want to see how. Make sure your ads blend into your site. I've seen so many sites with borders around the Adsense, thats like saying oo oo look at me we're ads don't click on us. I've also heard of the square banners getting the highest click through. This is usually because people put it smack dab in the middle of their article. You get extra money sure but you piss off your readers, its a balance do what you feel is right. Don't be afraid to put on banners because you think you might loose readers, not so. I have never lost a reader from an ad, bad content however will make the readers run for hills. If you are going to put ads in, don't do it half-assed. Do it all the way, people ask me if I know I have a lot of ads? I say "yes I put them there". Getting people to participate on your site (commenting) will increase CTR. The longer they are there and the more invested they are the more likely they are to pay you back with a click on a ad. Its all about exposure. Install Heat Map software like this on your server so you can see where people actually click put your ads there. People will click naturally. Don't arrange ads to be pretty, they are not there to make your site look cool. If you can see them right away you fail. Use CJ banners around Adsense. People won't click on the banners, but they will be fooled (visually) into clicking on Adsense. See bottom of my site for an example. That is all for now, now go and create revenue. Pay me back by a visit to my site, and a comment.
Not to remove my respect to you, but it's very common. Mine would be: "Put your ad on the side of your page which is prone to accidental clicks"
Lots of quality content, create content-rich pages, have people link to your site - build a network; make bank.
Theres also the argument that people will be more inclined to click ads on the right hand side cause thats where the scrollbar is. Not always true, I've had sucess altering ads on my sites to stand out more. Drawing attention to them can be a good thing. Different things work on different sites. Personally, I've found the only method that can almost always be counted on is the square text link above or below articles.
The best Adsense advice is to be patient. This thing we're doing isn't as predictable as some would lead you to believe. It can change so much based on a few changes in condition. For instance, my CTR dropped in half in the last few weeks. So did my CPC. Today, my CPC doubled. However, I learned not to get too excited over things like that. It could go down tomorrow. Who knows?
have clear goals.. if you are making an MFA ..make an MFA.. forget about content.. trying to get quality content for an MFA is a waste of time. if you making a good quality content site...focus on the content...forget about Adsense.. if the site has quality content.. put the ads on side...let the users focus on the content. as for the tip: use contrasting colours for ad titles...they give me the best CTR...even more than perfect blending.
My most positive step was to find a niche where my users were actively seeking a product or a service and weren't just browsing my site out of interest. My CTR on these types of sites are way above what most people would expect to be "good" since the ads and the visitors' goals coincide quite nicely and they have no objection to clicking on ads that are useful to them. I never target accidental clicks.
here is another tip: try to build professional look site, for example use less ads but fully optimized, dont make your site like one of those MFA sites.
Was thinking of writing the same. Don't cover your content with ads, place 1 or 2 in the right spots. Usually a good one would be at the end of the article.
great post but can i ask about heatmap if this can affect adsense by anyway ? i mean can ban my account since i didnt used this before please clear this point.
Heat maps have no affect on Adsense its really just a stats program and doesn't change Adsense. A heat map really just lets you see where people are clicking naturally on your site. You put your ads as close to the greatest amount of clicks to get the most exposure. Also good content is a given, but under no circumstances should someone write content and have their website on autopilot thats just dumb. Thats like making a great product and then marketing it poorly, history is full of great products marketed poorly why would you want to join them? Personally I believe my time is worth something so I market and monetize my site as best I can. Creating a site that's adsense friendly is not that hard and should be in the plan from the start.
