Your Adwords Advice

I’m new to adwords (used it a few times long ago) and am looking for a good guide to help me get started. Any advice besides Google’s own material.

    Questions I have include:

Does it work to drive traffic to your adsense pages hoping visitors will click on your adsense ads?

Does it work to drive traffic to your affiliate pages (where you are simply an affiliate –aff?)

What should I look out for when first getting into this program.

What are some good ways at tracking your ROI?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

AdWords has a built-in ROI tracker. When you login, click on Learn More..it's on the front reporting page. I've had most success actually building a small website about the affiliate then finally referring them but it is all up to you to toy around with and see what works best.

I'm not a big fan of this idea, unless your content is in a high cost per click category (Travel, spam/spyware filter software etc) it's not worth the time, engery and most importantly your money.
