I have recently set up a forum to give people in the work place a voice. All to often people on the "shop floor" have difficulty in having their voices heard by higher management. The problem I am having is this: There is a very big company listed as one of the boards on the forum, I happen to also work for this company. Many posts have been made about this company, and many people at work now know it is me who owns the site. I set the site up for other people to get their point across about work related issues. I need to know if there will be any comebacks on me at work, IE: they can't sack me can they? Now I'm all for freedom of speech, and I have posted several disclaimers stating I am in no way responsible for the comments of others. So what do you guys think? Thanks
It really depends on what state you live in. There are a few states that are a right to work state. In other words, then can terminate you for any reason whatsoever. You could look funny that day and they can fire you. In most other states though they are not allowed to without cause. Hope this helps.
Thanks Neptune, but I live in the UK, and I *hope* the working law is a bit more diplomatic than in the US!
