Most text ads in the system are geo-targeted so if you are in a country that isn't one of the target regions then you will see default ads. We have a lot of text ads in the system targeted to countries like US, UK, AU, IN etc...
I am from UK, tried AdToll for 3 weeks, saw only 4 different ads on gamign site , i think my site wasnt busy enough traffic wise to get more advertisers on it :/
Me as well, I had 2 semi high traffic sites getting between 2 - 5k uniques a day per site. I tested adtoll out but the default adds were not very nice, and over a trial period of 12 days, i didnt get any money for my clicks. I went to adengage, and they provided some default adds which people would actually click on. adtoll has great customer service and a friendly team, but the only downfall is the default adtoll.com adds you have to put on your site until someone puchases a link. Which are usually is based on how many people click the default adtoll.com add to rack up your weekly click average. Having said this, no one will click on the default adtoll add so you will not get a good click ratio therefor not getting any sponsered adds. If adtoll allowed a more flexable approach to the default adds with more of a selection i think many more people would hang around. From an experienced publisher I hope you can take this as constructive criticism and not a postulation
Allow flexibility on default ads? We allow you to set your own default ad.... Doesn't get more flexible than that I don't think?
That is not true at all. They only show those green AdToll ads if there aren't any advertisers for that ad size in the RON. I get paid fro clicks weather or not I make a sale because I use the 468x60 and 100x100 ads the most and they have a bunch of Ron Of Network ads all the time. I don't know when you tried them out but most of the ad formats now have RON ads running. I personally love AdToll.
adtoll = waste of time.. i tried text and banner RON ads.. 0.50-$1/day with very untargetted ads and 150,000 impressions.. Not my cup of tea.. stick with CPX, adbrite, freedom of ads
