Trying to make money with Google Adsense can be a very frustrating experience, especially if you have a popular website and yet you still are battling to make a decent living off Adsense. We all know how frustrating it can be to try and increase our Adsense CTR's, it can be a painstaking and frustrating task of experimenting. We take risks, we experiment with our Ad Placements, We try and trick our sites visitors to click on ads with them thinking it is part of our site. We have to be cunning, like a greedy fox.... wether we like it or not, we try and confuse people into clicking our ads... maybe not all of us, but I would say most of us. We all experiement with our layouts, the ad font or background colours, should we use rounded ads, squared ads or ads without borders. We work tirelessly on our ad placements, our Ad colours, the ad sizes, we wonder wether to use text links on certain pages and normal ads on the other pages or mix and match both text and ad links. I would say 30% of my monthly earnings are from text links, the other 70% from normal Adsense ads. When I say 30% and 70%, it does not mean I am earning alot of money, but hey, it pays for my cigarettes and hosting fees... if I gave up smoking then maybe I would earn some good money to put away for a rainy day. I have been with adsense for 4 years and still on a daily basis I battle with my ads, trying to improve the CTR's. Basically I still believe what makes the difference between those successful and not successful in adsense is all about getting into the right niche and starting early before anyone else.
1. Traffic. 2. Nop, always had a steady increase. 3. None. Just Adsense Tips + DigitalPoint + Common sense + Keyword Tools. 4. The most simple ones, with a twist of "psicology" applied. 5. Give them 95% of what they want. 6. Nop. 7. Read above
1. What has helped improve your CTR's and Earnings Increases. Actually, just being more active online, and recently I started filtering a lot of ads, and suddenly my clicks went way up. I think people get sick of seing the same old ads, and won't click on them. 2. Has there ever been a time for you when you hit the Adsense Jackpot, where your earnings went of meagre earnings one day and the next day they skyrocketed and have stayed that way? Not yet, but I've gone from $.90 a month to $13.00 a month, which is cool. I look for the overall increase over time, and it's always in correlation to how much time I spend online. 3. If you have bought Adsense E-Books, what E-Books would you recommend? Never bought any, but took some free online courses, which did me no good at all. I've learned more here. 4. What layouts have work for you? I'm experimenting with bright color custom layouts. I'll see how that goes. On some sites, I just match as closely as possible, because the site is sort of subdued, so I want the content to shine, not the ads. 5. How do you trick people to click the ads I don't. I just put a decent amount of keywords into my text, and relevant ads come up. 6. Does blending your ads into the content work better. I've seen an increase in clicks since I started adding them to the middle of the content and across the top of the page, although I only do the text links on top of the page. I hate pages where you have to scroll past a big ad block to get to the content, and I'll click off of that page in a heartbeat, so I don't do that. Content is the key. 7. What would be your best advice in relationship to improving adsense earnings? I think good, relevant content is the key. If you write about something that people will want, then when the ads show that, they will click.
1. Just good placement above the fold and below the main article. 2. Never, just slow steady increase. 3. Just read the forums... 4. I do one at the very top, one below the main article, and one in between everything else. 5. I don't. 6. Mine are blended to fit with the overall theme of the site, that is all. 7. Longevity - it takes awhile.
In my view its all about how to approach making money online ( in this case from adsense ) . Making money online seems exciting but it is no child's play and requires hard work which most of the newbies are not willing to do and they give up too early and only those are left behind that keep putting in some efforts and those are the only ones that are successful . I hope you got it mate Good luck !
1. What has helped improve your CTR's and Earnings Increases. Just trail and error, I set up channels move them around and keep playing until something works. 2. Has there ever been a time for you when you hit the Adsense Jackpot, where your earnings went of meagre earnings one day and the next day they skyrocketed and have stayed that way? Its mostly subtle increases, some days make more than others but no big jump. I've hit big traffic spikes like stumbles but that actually reduces income at first. 3. If you have bought Adsense E-Books, what E-Books would you recommend? Like alot of others I learn most of what I know through forums and reading blogs. I have not purchased any ebooks. 4. What layouts have work for you? Simple and neat nothing too cluttered. 5. How do you trick people to click the ads No, because tricking users will only work so much. Have good content and the rest will come naturally. 6. Does blending your ads into the content work better. Yes and No, it does increase CTR for me sometimes but personally it annoys me when I see it. I like users to go to my sites because they like what they see/read. They are less likely to come back if its obvious money is all you care about. 7. What would be your best advice in relationship to improving adsense earnings? Get your site out there and have good keywords. Relevent content with good search engine rankings goes a very long way.
Nothing But Traffic, Good Placement of Ads and Colors. Never.. Its ups and downs in CPC.. but.. The revenue increase gradually. Nothing.. Never go for them. A complete time waste. Use your common sense Skyscrapers are not so good. LeaderBoards are Okay and Rectangles Between Content are really perfect. Never.. I don't trick anyone. They will click if they are interested. The colors and placement does the work. Nope.. You shouldn't do that if you have a lot of content. Do that only if you have few lines or so. If you have huge amount of content, just keep the colors different from Content so that they are caught by the visitor's eye balls. Traffic, Traffic and Traffic. Try to get as much natural traffic as possible. The revenue will start rolling only with the increase of NATURAL Traffic. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Now.. Good luck
1. What has helped improve your CTR's and Earnings Increases. Testing. Never guess, test to be sure. Placement, ad unit size, number of ad units, and colors - for each individual site. 2. Has there ever been a time for you when you hit the Adsense Jackpot, where your earnings went of meagre earnings one day and the next day they skyrocketed and have stayed that way? No, they haven't skyrocketed over night, but I've seen a steady increase after constant testing and tweaking. 3. If you have bought Adsense E-Books, what E-Books would you recommend? No books. Use this forum and all the free resources out there. Read everything on the Adsense help pages, then read everything on the adwords help pages. Google made the program so it makes (ad)sense to learn everything they say about it, from both the publisher and advertiser point of view. Start testing the things that seem to be logical based on that information. 4. What layouts have work for you? After a lot of testing, you find some units and colors that work nicely in general, but every site is different so testing is the only way to be sure. 5. How do you trick people to click the ads I don't. The way I see it, that will hurt you in the long run. Not an attempt to be holier than x, just good business imho. 6. Does blending your ads into the content work better. Yes, but disguising the ads as content will hurt CPC. Blend, but don't overdo it. 7. What would be your best advice in relationship to improving adsense earnings? Act on the basis of knowledge and not speculation - in other words test then implement. Secondly, never give up, even when it seems like things aren't going that great. Churchill said: "If you're going through hell, keep going!" I second that.
What id do is i do some researches before publish articles and try to add some good niche related keywords to every posts , so adsense bots displays content related ads . And we know that only niche related ads works good .
No Secrets..If you are having good traffic you will earn from adsense (remember traffic from stumbleupon, digg not good for adsense)
The only trick to adsense is to try different things. What works on one site may fail woefully on another. Blending ads? Sometimes it works and sometimes not. Depends on the site And you do not need to trick people into clicking on your ads, ever
Simple adsense secret is to get lot of traffic. Traffic = $$$ And the ad unit that work for me is 336*280 ad unit
I think he is right placement and position plays important role .And further we all know content is king and traffic is queen .
I do believe there's a strong mathematical component here - no matter what your niche earns, you will make more $$ with Adsense when you get traffic. More traffic = More revenue. I have a site that on a few days a year gets 100000+ pageviews each day. On those days, I make hundreds of dollars. LOL it would be fab to have that traffic every day! As for the rest of your questions ... 1. What has helped improve your CTR's and Earnings Increases. Each niche is different. I have a similar ad placement on most of my sites and the ctr ranges from 2% to 22%. Some I blend color-wise, some I contrast, and to see what works better is a factor of experimentation and tracking. I just keep trying to add good content to them all and build links. Of course these two things will increase traffic and therefore $$. 2. Has there ever been a time for you when you hit the Adsense Jackpot, where your earnings went of meagre earnings one day and the next day they skyrocketed and have stayed that way? Oh yes, as mentioned above I do have a site that gets a lovely jump from time to time but traffic returns to normal and that's OK. 3. If you have bought Adsense E-Books, what E-Books would you recommend? I did buy Joel Comm's stuff when it first came out. It was how I got into content sites really. 4. What layouts have work for you? I only have two ad units a page - 1 link unit in the navigation, and 1 ad block. I like to keep ads clean because it's a turn off to have too many adblocks cluttering your content. I blend the ad block with the content, and generally use the 336 or 300 px width ad block. 5. How do you trick people to click the ads I think some niche's are more ad-blind than others. But really, tricking a click just make people annoyed and at some point you'll get a nasty letter from the Goog so better just to focus on content. 6. Does blending your ads into the content work better. Yes for me. 7. What would be your best advice in relationship to improving adsense earnings? Write good content and work on generating backlinks. Plus you should be monetizing your sites in more ways than adsense. Find a Clickbank product or add Chitika - whatever makes sense for your niche. Good luck! ~tasty
