Your ad colours

I was just wondering if you guys think that blending your ads in or making them stand out is a better technique in getting clicks.

I had my ads blend into my site for a while, and I got no clicks, and now I am recently trying to make them stand out a bit. My site is mainly blue and I made the text ads into a green. It doesn't look too extreme but they are defiantly noticeable.

And I know that my clicks could probably just be because not enough traffic or my ads do not appeal to my visitors.

I was just curious what you do on your sites, how effective it is, and what you suggest.

    Thanks guys

I just checked my adsense account and I got my first click ever for $0.46, WOOOHOOOO
This is with my ad colours changed, but this could also just be a coincidence.
Just thought I would let you guys know haha
    That made my day.

James - why is the ad on the side bar not a 160X600?

The colors don't really blend but I think that is better in your case... the green stands out but I would make that ad on the side bar a 160X600 for sure.

Caught a typo too - -The dinging (should be dining) room and anywhere to eat, should be close to the kitchen

Also, no affiliate marketing on there?

I am new to advertising and marketing, and don't know much about affiliate marketing...would you suggest it?
Where would I sign up for that type of marketing?
I will change the ad on the side bar and fix the typo.
    I appreciate your help

CJ.com may be a good fit... there are some affiliates on there that look like they would fit in well with your site.
