My younger brother has recently left his graduation in IT. He's quite good with colors and has some strong romance aesthetics. Should I suggest him web designing?

I need your suggestions and then some roadmap for learning web designing?

I second this, w3schools greatly helped me in learning the basics of HTML and CSS. Tell him to try it out!

Yep, there are plenty of resource for learning web designing online. Start off by learning html, css, js and php, those are the frequently used languages. Then, look into jquery (javascript library) as you can do a lot more with less coding.

I personally like to see things visually so sometimes I will look up lectures or tutorials on youtube to help me out. Have your brother start designing and coding on his own computer (localhost) and then get an affordable host when he wants to take things online. Hope this helps. Good luck!

I believe he needs some series of books "... for dummies", just in case.

Why not let him make a choice of his own. People who make their own choices usually see the end of it. This would be good for him in his IT career.

Let him learn Photoshop. There are few very good designers, most of them are really costly.

I would say graphic design or computer aided design or web design.. All three fields are interesting if he likes any. Dont force him into anything he doesent wants.

I once spoke to someone who had completed an IT course and who thought web design would be perfect for them, that was until they got into it and found that it was a lot more involved than they had anticipated and it wasn't for them, it may well be for your brother but I think only he can really know the answer to that.

If he feels it's what he wants to do then, I totally agree with the comment about that there is not better way of learning that practice.

If he is smart in color and imagination then he should go for designing because its a huge filed itself and he can learn more and more while working .but according to me you have to first concern with your brother that what he want exactly..either he will go for designing or animation..:D
