I was watching a video about the Director of VCU Brandcenter talking about the impact that the younger generation is making in the film industry. He says that the younger generation are making a bigger impact now, especially in marketing. I agree, I think we marketers need to focus more attention to the younger, future generations, since ultimately they are the driving force of new technology. The festival the Director is talking about is the Young Lions Film Competition, where teams were to shoot 60-second videos using a Nokia n95 phone. I think Nokia did a great job targeting their phone to the younger demographic, as the Director mentions in the video. What are your thoughts, and has anyone been impacted in this way with their marketing efforts?
im in the younger generation you talk about and i do a marketing study. It's all about beeing creative and diffrent from the rest. About nokia in the Netherlands i dont see them doeing that much advertising really NOkia is such a strong brand it kinda markets itself i dont think the N95 was targeted at the youth at all really it just has a high gadget factor
the young people are definately making way in the marketing game but i disagree with the nokia n95 market, it was targetted to the mass market aka everybody whol could afford it.
