I was advertising a Clickbank website Nikolateslasecret.com with Adwords and was suspended due to submissions of ads that promote unacceptable practice in response to many complaints they received. Ok fine I will delete that campain but that was not good enough they want me to edit the site to conform to there standards. I told them this is not my website and I have no way of editing the site...besides they would not give me any specifics so I might email the owner of the website. As the affiliate marketing person how can I know if any of these sites I want to advertise is a problem. My account is suspended and could not happen at a worse time I cant work my day job anymore due to a disability and was hoping to make some money with adwords HELP
Yes I told them I was a Click Bank affiliate and it did not matter to them I just cant understand that I cant edit that site even if I wanted to they just wont bend..I even called them and they stuck to there guns that if I was willing to change the content of the site they might reinstate me. I am beside myself you have no idea..I was thinking of sending a email to Clickbank but dont think that will do anything because Google is King. Thanks so much for the reply I need any and all the advice I can get from the experts here on DP forum
Doesn't matter if the site belongs to you or not. You're supposed to follow their policies. That site clearly breaks the misleading and inaccurate claims rule. There's no way you could recharge your cell with four diodes and capacitors just like you can't change water into gas for your car. Oh, the page also has exit popups which is also against the rules.
Ok I get your point but being into electronics and hearing about Teslas invention I believed it....As far as the exit pop ups I don't like them but did not think it was a problem. Again this affiliate marketing is a very part time thing I was hoping to turn into full time. I ASSume because it was a Clickbank customer and the owner of the site had sample Adwords ads for you to copy I really thought it was ok. If I knew what I know now I would of never tried to post that site. Thanks for the input
You didn't do you do diligence, like most others, and read the policies. It clearly states that popups are not allowed. I used to be in electronics too. Having heard about Tesla is one thing. Not thinking and believing you can get 2 volts out of thin air and charge a cell phone is another. Most cells need 5 volts and a lot more current than what you can get out of the air. The problem is that most people are ready to accept anything they're told without thinking or researching.
Ok if what you say is true and Tesla did not invent that unit and I guess I should of read there policys better but don't you think the fair thing to do since I don't own the site to give me a warning and be clear on what specific thing it was that banned me. How could you tell someone to make edits to the website and they might reinstate me knowing that I can't make edits to a website I don't own. I don't condone any rules broken but give me a break. Thanks again for the input.
Show me where Google says Clickbank is not allowed. Fact is, CB products are allowed as long as the Adwords policies are followed. Unfortunately, the vast majority of CB product landing pages I've seen don't follow those rules and a few are even banned such as make gas from water and ecigs.
Hmm I've never heard of affiliates getting banned from Adwords because they cannot change the product page of the item they're promoting. Have you tried contacting Google after your ban to appeal their decision? Of course, they won't allow you to promote the product in question again but if you want to advertise other legitimate products with Adwords you'll need to get them to reinstate your account...
google did not say clickbank is not allowed, but, when you put clickbank site in ad, google will tell you that site is not allowed.
Google in general does not like affiliates... Why not redirect the adwords traffic to your site which has some good content for visitors.. where you can also presell them the clickbank products...
I can understand Google being picky when it comes to AdSense, but when they penalise people using AdWords, I just find it stupid. Perhaps they don't approve of the content, or think that others wont. There are better ways of communicating this than simply banning an account. I hope you get something sorted out.
They did this to me on an old account too. I just told them that I can only fix the domains I actually own. So we moved all campaigns for the domains I could control to a new account and it's fine now. They still "don't guarantee another suspension won't happen", but it hasn't yet.
may be your account be so old because Google adwords need fresh account which should not be more than 14 day old and also address contact and billing info should be 100% correct as well no duplicate add these are main term if these will be correct then never account will be suspended
