Guys, This is pretty sad news, but I asked around and people have been experiencing the drop in earnings and fluctuating earnings every hour since may 2011 they have seen their clicks suddenly reduce. I noticed that my last highest earning day on may 23, I earned $150 dollars one day, and an hour later my earnings reduced to $25 dollars! this is weird, before adsense wouldnt tamper with your earnings at all. They can claim invalid clicks all they want, but I doubt it. What I was told by people is that ad clicks will no longer count unless the ip that clicks the ad stays on the advertisers page for more than 20 seconds. My traffic is high and now Instead of earning a consistent $25-50 dollars a day with like 100 or more clicks that I used to get I am now earning $1-5 dollars a day only like 15 clicks, with over 10,000 unique visitors a day. Now with the old Google CEO coming back and even putting the Panda update, things have changed, a lot of people say its because Google spent a lot of cash on buy outs and needs to recoup so what they do is take more money from adsense publishers. Google was supposed to meet about Anti-trust issues, but they never showed up. Also people have been complaining that they are only giving the big news sites the better earnings and traffic rankings and smaller blogs or sites are pushed back to 20 pages on the search when they used to be on the first landing page.
That's pretty harsh man.... Adsense isn't a bad business model if you use it for the right niches. Especially if you don't want to sell anything like affiliate marketing or your own product. To the OP: Personally, I never really noticed a major drop in Adsense, so I think it just depends on the site. Are you still getting as many visitors as you were before?
I noticed higher adsense earning in the last couple of months .. same traffic (maybe even less) so ... Google is the biggest earner from adsense you know that ? So I doubt such an update, unless advertisers are complaining which is not the case ..
You can't complaint about this as they have right to pull back the earning as per their program policy stated. You are agree on the term when you sign up Adsense program. If you are not satisfy with that, you might choose to leave and look for other ppc advertisement network.
Adsense is the best company I've used for my kind of websites. Unless you have a hell of a lot of unique vists a month it's probably in your best bet to stick with them. Other companies such as Bidvertiser and AdBrite just don't cut it for me.
its totally depends on the demand of your ads. if your ads rate that are showing for the related keywords you are working with, drops then ultimately your adsense income will also be dropped.
Strange b/c my earnings have increased quite a bit since May, at least $400.00 a month. I always lose $20, $30, sometimes a $50 a month due to whatever (ie. invalid, advertiser issues, etc.) clicks.
The small data set of you and the people you 'asked around' is hardly enough to reflect the performance of the millions of other publishers across the globe. Earnings (eCPM/cPC) at my sites have trended upward so far this year, and is currently higher than it's been since 2006..
well.... i have been new to adsense business but haven't seen anything like this yet finalized earnings can be little bit less than estimated earnings but haven't seen any "big change yet" after reading other members useful comments... i m a satisfied man
Ohh another "adsense is DEAD" thread. People have not been making these since 2008 We will always make money with adsense because goggle makes A LOT of money thanks to adsense. Every time you make money with adsense so does google. Why would they want to end that?
Even after the Panda update, very few of my sites have seen decreased earnings, either in Adsense, or in affiliate income. The key is simply good content (relevant stuff a user would want to use), a good niche (which means good demand), and good SEO. My income overall has increased, not decreased. *shrug*
Also, you need to be constantly proactive on your content and linking strategy. That means work every month and creative thinking.
