How long does it take for a Video to be indexed on You tube? Also how long typically should it take to show up on Google. Thanks
It's not immediate - I think it's 8 - 24 hours. Google crawls youtube constantly so I would expect it to be in the google index as soon as it's searchable in youtube
I think after every couple of hours google crawls youtube. My one experience is to get video index in google within 2 - 3 hours. Thanks,
Usually within 24 hours you can find the direct link to your YouTube video in the Google index; however, it seems that not all videos stay in the index for a long period of time unless you build external links or have the video posted via the YouTube code on other websites. Considering YouTube is owned by Google it's easy to assume that there is some cross relation to indexing and crawling.
getting indexed is one thing and showing up on google is another. once your video is indexed, it will show up if you search by video URL. however, for the video to show up on keyword search, you need to optimize the video and promote it just like any other sites/pages
I guess google search algorithm and youtube search algorithm are really very close enogh or one and the same. As long as your video becomes searchable in youtube itself, it becomes searchable in google also since both belong to the same company. I think this is supposed to happen as long as a manual video reviewer approves your video for inclusion in the index.
