You Tube style video player...

    I want to add video's to our site, I'm using you tube at the moment and embedding the video into my site... but I don't really want to do it like that.

    I'd prefer to be able to host it on our server. But I can't find swf or flv player that's free!

    Are we going to just resign ourselves to using youtube or has anyone stumbled upon a freeware program to do this for us???

    There are free video compression programs out ther for linux. Check out ffmpeg.

    BUt get ready to see a spike in your bandwidth costs :)

    Spent ages searching round google - and all I could find was software you had to pay for - what did you search for?! The only things I could find freeware were programs to play FLV's on your machine.
