Nope. Why dont you make your own? Its not hard to do. If you have a video camera and windows XP or vista you have everything you need.

What kind of video? Some videos / movies are in the public domain, but most are copyrighted. If you put your logo on someone elses copyrighted video - that is called infringement. Just one word about infringement - dont. Well, really, dont is 2 words, its a contraction of Do and Not.

If you get someone to make the video for you, be sure to get a full copyright release. Do not use someone elses property without their full written permission. If someone makes the video for you, make sure you get in writing that they own the property rights to the video. You want to make sure who ever made the video did not copy someone elses videos or music and then sell it to you.

    Or make your own videos.

It should. But, lets take Warner Brothers Records as an example. WB has a youtube channel. Some of the videos they have on youtube does not have a copyright on it. Does that mean you can take that video edit it and use it? Go ahead and try it and see what happens when WB finds your videos.

If you are asking yourself, "can I use this video?", maybe you should be asking yourself how you can make a video like that one.

Your own original productions are the best way to go. That way you own the video and no one can make a claim to it.

    Hi there, Darrens!

have you considered contacting authors of videos that have content that is relevant with the one on your site? Go ahead and do it, tell them you are interested in buying their "About This Video" space. Place your website link in there and you will have a video (hopefully if a lot of page views) promoting your site.

This way you will not alter or edit videos, thus you will not be involved in any kind of copyright infringement and you will still get to promote your site via the videos.

Making your own videos are really the best way to go when posting to youtube or embeding videos on your website or wherever. One reason for this is self branding. Videos are a great way to help brand yourself online. If you really want to use someone else's video then you can just send them a message and ask their permission. But I know that others have embedded my vids onto their webpages and it really does not bother me, because in my opinion they are just helping to brand me more and I feel that works out better for me anyway. So if you are unsure just ask the person who's vid you are wanting to use, but it is still a way better idea to make one of your own.

    1) Let's take this video for example. You just have to see the panel to the left of the video and click on the nickname where it says "from:". In this case it is "vaitor". This is the page that opens when you do that. You will see that there is a panel box that says "connect with vaitor", click on "send message" and write your proposal.

    2) Right, the money! I think that everyone will agree that the offer should be made according to the page views the video has. Videos with more page views would cost more and vice versa. Call the owner and make a bargain. This is where your negotiating skill come in practice.

    Good luck!

You can just send the person a private message on youtube and then ask them how they feel about you using their video. You can offer to pay them if you like and ask them how much they would like for that video. If the price is fine with you then use the video. Chances are I think a lot of people would not ask for much money or any at all. There is a place inside of their youtube profile that they can make it so that other people can't embed their videos anywhere, so if there is an embed link it means that they are allowing others to embed if they like. However, it is still really honorable to ask their permission and pay them if they like.
