using videos these days seems very useful than audio and text lately - I think its growing - but I was wondering with all the format and upload of videos on you tube and other video uploads - do you think setting up a video information site be useful? similar to content of writing articles except in the format of videos?

the only downside i see in this is the fact that some videos will advertise theri site as a watermark on their video or will say their URL at the end of the video or mention their site sometime in the vdieo - which would direct the user away from the site - still debating if this is any good to start? what are all your ideas on this? using video as "content"

I run a video site (look at my sig) to tell the truth it doesn't matter if the videos were watermarked, yes this may lead your visitors to the URL in the video itself but ONCE you get a nice content from you or your users then visitors will stick with your site to see more of your clips.

Humor site is being popular these days, and once you run it the right way you will get the income you desire. the traffic i got is growing as i get 1k unique /day.
If you don't have a website yet nor clips i have a ready made package, check here : http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=159269

    Cheers

for example I have this page on my site: theianternet.com/media.htm

in which I would like to give my audience an informative site - but leary on the creator of the video because of them advertising their site or product in the video - the site is just a test I am still thinkin if I should go forward with this media type tutorials on the net for others to showcast their products on my site when I want the purpose of the site is to show them how its done or even exclusive videos I find etc

anything that provides new content is a good idea for a site.... as it gives the user a reason to come back which is most important!

With so many of these sites going up these days, you will need something that is going to stand out from the crowd and mke it unique. That would be the main reason I haven't done it yet - lack of ingenuity.
