How would you market a site about renting apartments in London on Digg?

 

Easy write a new article about how 2m by 2m apartments are ridiculous price then digg it, I keep hearing about how small apartments are in UK, that sort of thing would work with digg users

"Here is my free directories, please tell me how to market them effectively." - Put up some nice looking templates (different ones for each site) have them customized a bit. Buy a decent looking logo for each directory. Once you have done that buy some signature links, some avatars, some blog posts, some site-wides and banners on other directories and webmaster resource sites.

The key to making money on a free directory is getting folks to go for Featured Links, so give them a reason to upgrade. Site-wides can also make you some much needed revenue and I personally dislike those templates that show the site-wide links in the broken 'justified' way, it looks unprofessional.

The easiest way to market site's is to write articles about your site topics include a link back and submit to as many article directories as you can.

I have been marketing it but I want to get the word out even more

 

I am trying to marker to a couple of different demographics for my encryption software. What would be the best market. We offer Forensic versions so maybe law enforcement forums or something like that. Your take on this please.

Ok your trying to push the fact that your forum pays $25 for refferals so why not get one of your members who you have paid, to put a post on there blog with proof of payment. When people signup for programs they want proof that other people haven't been scammed.

 

One thing I forgot to add, do you all have blogs attached to your main site this is one of the best ways to get traffic to your main site.

 

I'm glad you mentioned this. There is something I've been wondering. When I incorporate a blog with my main site, do I simply structure it as follows:
www.domain.com/blog/

Then do I simply place links in my blog to my homepage?

Or is there a better way of doing this?

good point thanks this is one thing I havent thought of doing.

 

Don't waste your time with Digg. It's too hard to get to the top, and you get almost no traffic from being in the queue. Try Reddit instead, which will at least send you a few dozen people even if you don't make it to the front page.

 

Digg I hate also its poo, and I tried this Reddit and found it was more work and no return in anyway.
