You must set the "ad_network_ads.txt" file to be writable.

    Hey .. I know ... but i deleted EVERYTHING and tried again .. 3 times!!!

    Any other thoughts??

    FYI -- this is on a VB3

    Set the perms on the text file to 777.

    You *sure* it's 777? Can you paste the output of a directory listing that shows the permissions?

    Are you calling the script from the same directory it's in? If not, it might be trying to find n ad_network.txt file that's writeable in a different directory.
