This thread is pretty comical to me. A thread to get customers but instead the poor guy got flamed by everyone.

something came to me last night, i was thinking about this thread and how so many people were defending the extremely low prices of logos.

Well i have a question for those who think it is ok.

Would you rather get $20 or $3?

the going rate for a professional logo is around $100 to $400 bucks.

reducing yourself to a price that low, hurts everyone in the industry.

my point is this, if the cheapest prices for logos were $20 rather the $3, we would all make more money.

So if everyone here raised their price to $20, are the customers looking for logos going to go somewhere else? No. They will pay for the logo at the awesome price of $20, and walk away knowing they got a great deal.

DP is an awesome resource for getting a great logo for a great price. I dont think there is a better deal anywhere, so they have nowhere else to look.

I hope this statement clarifies my feelings on this issue. And i hoe it might change some of your minds, for the good of the industry

People are always going to sell their services short, whether they're merely designing for fun, live in a country where $3 could feed you for a day, or simply just underselling. If you find you can't sell at prices you would like to sell at, you have to change your target market. A lot of people on internet forums are looking for the best deal they can possibly find, you need to network and market to other sources if you want a fair price for your services. And if that's not working, then you must assume that you're either still approaching it wrong, your image is not professional and people don't take you seriously (which is why it is a good idea to get that domain name - creditability is hard to earn over anonymous internet), or there is something wrong with your skills.

At any rate, best of luck with purchasing your domain and hosting, as well as with your business! :)

Well done on purchasing a domain, already makes you look miles more professional :)

Just a note though, your site is broken a lot in Firefox, all mis-aligned etc. you might want to sort that out.

    Good luck!
