Hey everyone, I'm going to make a new post called "You know you are a web developer when" 1. You have the first sentence of Lorem Ipsum memorized and more.. I'm looking for ideas, feel free to post your ideas here. Jordan
After you have heard "Oh, a web developer, I have nephew (not shaving yet) that makes web pages" enough times to make you want to run the following query: delete idiot from earth where nephew like "web"
haha, all very true, thanks for all the posts lol, i'm going to put my thinking cap on and post some more.
A few of my own personal experiences: - You try to sound smart and talk about DNA but say DNS instead - Whenever you make a mistake in real life (misplacing something, decorating something wrong, mess ups at work, etc) you instinctively look for the "Undo" button. - It truly bothers you whenever MySpace errors that you map out possible coding problems and issues in your head to pass the time. Now for some made up ones: - Your friends come to you with personal problems and the first thing you ask is "What type of errors are you receiving? - You accidentally start typing your term papers with <? - It bothers you that you can't look at the code behind a page in a book or on the TV. - You find yourself saying "variable soup" instead of "vegetable soup". - You make all important life decisions using the bubble method.
When you starts finding "keywords" in people conversations and next morning you are early in the office. (true for myself)
when your surfing the net you check image links for alt tags you can identify the photoshops effects neccesary to make a specific graphic you call a guy a spammer for wearing a black hat then realize he doesnt know what your talking about
When you read a newspaper article and say, 'its not well written because google will list list it if put online.' (lack of keywords) again..
While you are on the phone with an automated system (press 1 for English, press 2 to be placed on hold for 25 minutes, etc) and coding away on your PC, you accidently make your phone choice (press 7 to erase) on your PC's keyboard.
