Your bounce rate is around 40%... Anybody have a lower bounce rate with AdSense placed on their site?
Thats not a good bounce rate... I'm at work but I'll post mine when i get back... I think I have you beat.
I forgot to mention: My site is brand new. I get about 50 unique views a day. It seems that even the most popular sites have a bounce rate of at the lowest 30%. Xbox.Com - 26.9% Digital Point Fourms - 35.8% Cnn.com - 46% My old site had a bounce rate of 65%. My other sites usually ranged between 70%-80%. My bounce rate of 40% still may not be that good I guess. But all things considered, I think it's a massive improvement.
I would like to know what bounce rate means? Can anyone tell me about my sites and how I can optimize them? Please check this one out and let me know. free ringback tones
peons... The percentage of visitors who enter and exit the same page without visiting other pages on the same site.
ah I see, so if they visit other pages on my sites then I get a higher bounce rate? And this I am sure will help with clicks as well?
humm... lets consider this, suppose am a visitor of your website, i landed on one of your page. I read it, and got everything that i was looking for. I then closed your page and left your site as a happy visitor Your bounce rate = 100% Your visitor = 100% satisfied good or bad ?
Really? Do you have any evidence to support that claim? I don't see how having more traffic would raise ones' bounce rate. Unless of course you and your friends are the only ones viewing your site early on. In my opinion, bounce rate is affected by three things: 1. Visitors interest - Does the visitor like your niche? 2. Content - Are you providing something that's worth the readers' time? 3. Traffic Source - Google? Digg? Stumble? Youtube?
My bounce rate is 85.24% (google analytics) it's ok with that for me, and I have 1500 page views daily, and that is increasing. PS: I have a google custom search, and almost all my visitors use it, it's hosted by google, so when a visitor search with it, he is "exiting my website", but I still get ad clicks from him
In your first post, you speak of bounce rate, but you have a graph of "Time on Site". Aren't these 2 different things? I get over 10,000 visitors per day, and my bounce rate is 85%. So what does that mean? If my AdSense CTR rate was 100%, then my bounce rate would be 100%. I think this would be very good, not bad. I never have understood "Bounce Rate". I think that it is a bogus parameter. Only 1/2 the time, does a person leave because a web page sucks. The other 1/2 of the time, they leave because they found exactly what they want. Without an "exit interview", you don't know which is which! . .
