Parking is where you point your Nameservers to the parking company's website & when visitors go to your site, they'll see ads. When they click on an add, you get a cut of the revenue made.

Unless it is a premium name receiving tons of type in traffic, you won't make much money from parking, i would suggest put up a single page website with some information about the website you are currently building.

Yes it's much better to create a small website while you build your planned one, parking won't make you much unless you have a great keyword .com

sort of. You host it with their servers. So you don't need your own hosting account as your domain with be parked with them :D

There are alternatives to parking such as SteadyNiche. We use that script as an alternative to parking and manage to make some ok money off it.

I have a major problem. I found a domain that supposed gets searched 317,000 times/month, but, it's got possible copyright issues. It's the name of a major company, but its name spaced by -

What do I do? All others like this domain are taken, and for some reason it screams by me

Don't purchase domains containing trademarked names, it can easily be taken away from you by the trademark holder, all your effort you put into that domain would be wasted.

If you buy with Godaddy, it'll automatically be parked with their ads. But they will get all the money. You need to find a parking company, eg. ParkingPanel, Sedo, Parked, Trafficz, etc. to park your domains. Usually people just start with Sedo as everyone gets accepted. Personally, I use ParkingPanel as they pay the most for myself so far.
