I had a conversation last night with my step father, while we watched a movie about world war two.

At that stage, the Japanese thought that Americans were lazy, slothful, morally corrupt people, and that it would be easy to defeat us and take our land. However one of the generals, who had studied in the west new that we are generally a proud, just people. My Step father commented that this means we are slow to anger, but once we do, we are a force to be reckoned with. He said that when Japan attacked us, they awakened a sleeping Giant. He also said that right now we are not the waking Giant, but a nation divided. That if we were to awaken, the middle east would shortly become nothing but a glass parking lot.

My comment was "Seems to me 911 was sort of like a bee sting. We swatted it, rolled over, and tried to get back to sleep, but we're not quite there yet. If we get woken the rest of the way up, Iran, and the rest of the nations that want to attack us will likely be in a lot of trouble."
