@ Confused Freelancer I am not into an argument here and nobody cares how much do you earn per article and who pays you that. I get $30 per article too but it is not a question here if you read the thread. The thing is that people do write quality content at $2 or $3 and I personally know writers from India and Bangladesh and Pakistan who charge low just to get hold of the buyers. The competition is fierce in the market and buyers can actually save a lot of money.
So, you get paid $30? Why? Is $5 not enough for you? You are from Asia, right? The point I am trying to make here is that let's not bring in the same age-old discussion of nationalities and how much is the value of dollar for an American as compared to an Asian. If somebody writes like shit, they are lucky to get $2-$3 gigs. It's not a matter of nationalities alone, it's as much about the talent and technique. Btw, just for laughs, check this http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2041895
There is a difference in the quality and research of a $5 article and a $30 article. One is going into an article directory, other is going to be a part of your website or it may be research paper. Well leave this thing up to the buyers what they wanna pay and to whom they wanna pay. My argument is limited to the fact that you can get better than what you pay. that's all
They may save a lot of money, MAY, but it means nothing if they can't get repeat readers back to their site, or get very many click-throughs because the content is boring, typical, and too short of a read. And rarely can they get results from such articles. It's like listening to a boring salesman, who also can't make the product shine like it should. Most of the "competition" couldn't write their way out of a bag, so there is no worry for the ones who can write "damn, that's good" articles.
No, not really. The writers who work for $2 are not in my market because I don't want the type of buyers they attract. All skillsets aside, once you realize who is and who isn't in your market - based on what they're willing to work for, the "competition" quickly begins to thin.
You are awesome, and I completely agree with you. If people want to hire writers for $2, go right ahead. But I can assure you it won't be quality work. Quality just isn't knowing how to spell and use grammar. It's knowing how to write a captivating hook to a story, how to use your words effectively and ensuring every word reads smoothly. Visitors aren't going to revisit your website if the copy is clunky and stiff.
