For some reason I felt like posting a question. Going through the hundreds of great questions i have. I decided to cop out and roll with this...

I've noticed that comments are a HUGE factor when it comes to developing my valued link backs.

When you receive a comment do you follow its writer to the source? Do you browse there content and post a reply on something that catches you? Furthermore are you anal about it? If there said content are not the droids your site is looking for.. Do you delete there comment?

Personally I check out the commenter site prior to approval of there comment. I try to decide if I'd like to do what i call "Comment Blogging" I've posted 2 paragraph comments before that have resulted in a steady flow of traffic from other blogs.

if it's not something I'm interested in.. Totally irrelevant or not native i wont post the comment and give them a link of any kind.

I don't check commentator's website before approving it. But I sure follow their latest blog link (i use commentluv) if the title interests me.

A lot of people write HUGE comments - 'comment blogging'. I prefer to keep them short and follow up with other replies later.

I only follow when the comment really impresses me.

It's the content of the comment that needs to matter. If it is a valid comment contributing to the overall message, then why not approve it?
