Could you display a banner graphic for an affiliate product with a little bit of text info below it, and have a text link below that.

Banner graphic that looks like google banner ad(non-clickable)

You can display anything you want, as long is it is not contextual.

Contextual meaning it searches you page for content and displays relevant ads (like adsense or ypn)

So to answer your question, yes.

Your best bet is to make the banner up and host it on a free image hosting site (see my sig) and email and ask them directly. In the same respect, a mockup is needed for us to give you any advice as well.

P.S. If you do end up emailing AdSense, let us know what they said.

"Competitive Ads and Services..................................We do allow affiliate or limited-text links.

Does this mean I can put any flashy banner ad up, if it for my affiliate product?

Somthing like this maybe (youll have to add the extra 'w' yourselves bc it wont lt have live links yet.

If I displayed those google-like banners in the links above, should I tell google that it is for my affiliate product, or can their bot tell that it is not contextualy generated?

So youre saying you can display anything as long as its not contextualy generated each time the page load. aka, it is the same ad every time

If so, Im assuming their bots can tell that your custom made ad is not contextually generated?

Sorry if Im sounding stupid, but I have never worked with this before. I dont want to get my site banned right off the bat.

And yes, for anyone who might tell me to do so, I have read the policy and TOS many times,
