now this i think is important , but does anyone have an easy way of knowing which banner areas dont perform? Also i always have 3 potential incomes per site in case 1 goes or changes - eggs/basket
beecause i have over 5000 pages on my site, but around 100 are real content pages others are images and forums. I'm following my situation by channels and realized that 90% of clicks come from content pages but 90% of traffic is from other ones. Let me explain it wit an example: PAST I got 10.000 impressions a day and 100 clicks TODAY I got 1.000 impressions a day and 90 clicks so my CTR is increased as hell
The problem I'm having is I'm adding content rather rapidly, but the rate of decrease in earnings is outpacing the rate of increase in pages.
I have to say that in a perfect world I'd go down as far as 640x480, because while 800x600 is the smallest actual size a large # of people use, it assumes that the browser is being run maximised, which it often is not.
So this comes to to end to track all the ads and delete the one that product the impressions but no clicks ?
Hi Zanet Yeah, 800x600. Have a look at your stats to see what the average screen sizes for your visitors are. We're seeing 25% still on 800x600. I'm sure a quick 'best position for Google Adsense' search in the old Goog will also give some good tips I've found that having it right at the top doesn't yield the best results, and that colouring it the same style as your content without it having borders gives better results. I also get most traffic from msn. It's rather easy to get traffic coming from msn quickly compared to G.
Google's days numbered? I don't think so. They are quickly adding allot more services to their tally and growing their support base. They've ditched a few blogging platforms out of their index, but I think they're doing a better job of getting rid of spammy sites. Take note, I didn't say a good job yet ;-) MtraX
MSn is more fair to newer publishers. Tired of the ivory tower google, but love the stock. Love hate relationship.
