the benefits of yoga: minimal stress on the heart and blood vessels; relieving stress, unloading the nervous system; development of flexibility and mobility of the joints; relaxation and stretching of the spine; restoration of energy balance; correction of posture, development of plastics. Yoga has only one drawback - it will not give a quick result for weight loss. But much faster than fitness will give the body a beautiful shape and improve the condition of the skin. There are practically no contraindications to it. People with a sick and injured spine and impaired functions of the vestibular apparatus cannot go to classes.
I believe that it's incorrect to compare these two kinds of sports, because fitness is created to keep your health fit, while yoga advntagely helps your mental health. Fitness affects your body, while yoga affects your mind. So, the best way to choose is to combine yoga and fitness, becaue if you want to get your body and mind in harmony, you have to combine these two kinds of sports. Nevertheless, everybody chooses something that close to him/her most. For example, I prefer yoga because it's a great way to relax after a hard day. Plus, yoga helps to understand your conscious and to learn how to understand your soul.
