    Hi everyone,

I hope you all having a great time, i'm here to ask a thing or setting of Yoast Plugin (I'm sure you all are aware of this plugin & i don't required to explain how it works).

I have seen people changing permalink from:

    www(dot)somewebsite(dot)com/2011/11/create-fake-screenshot-by-editing-web-page-live-trick/

    to

    www(dot)somewebsite(dot)com/create-fake-screenshot-by-editing-web-page-live-trick/

for SEO reasons. I want to know how i can do this with my blog's permalink using Yoast Plugin?

Any help on this would be highly appreciable. Looking forward to learn something good from you. Thank you!

As far as I know, there is no reason to set it up within Yoast. You don't need any plugin to do what you described, the function is built into the default WP install and using an SEO plugin to handle it won't make it any more or less effective if all you want is the post title to be displayed as the url slug (as is). I am not familiar with Yoast though so I don't know if it overrides the WP settings for permalinks.

Just go into your admin area in WP, down to Settings >> Permalinks. Select Custom Structure and paste in "%postname%" without the quotes.

When doing this, you should make sure that you meet the requirements to change to a custom structure for permalinks. Please refer to http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks
