I just discovered this meta search engine. Apparently, it used to be clusty.com which was bought for a couple of million last year. And all I can say is WOW. Nice. This is totally my home page now. http://yippy.com/
Why? That I just discovered it or that my post sounds like an advertisement by one of their insiders? Well, I did just discover it but I'm no insider. I signed up for their email and don't really like it. It didn't even display my sent emails when I checked the sent folder. After using the site for a while my initial impressions have changed. For the millions that were paid for the original site, Yippy seems and runs a little hokey-like. Something's not quite right about it to me in multiple areas that's hard to explain. You spend millions to buy a site and the (unique and attractive) logo is off centered? I don't know, it has a lot of impressive bells & whistles but I'm not getting that professional vibe from the site like I do from google or bing. I don't want to bash the whole concept, I think it's cool and Yippy should continue to tweak itself, but I think there is room for improvement in lots of little ways.
But yippy is taking search result from yahoo and bing only. This is just duplication of contents over open platform. I wonder what has made you fancy at yippy. Are you an affiliate for the yippy?
No I am not an affiliate. That's what's so strange about the site. That they allegedly paid so much for it just to duplicate content.
