well, interesting...i really look forword to see if they will have some succes with this.

 

This is the first time we have seen this "so called bot", their search engine is using results from others at this time.

The Yanga search engine is part of GigaBase.com which is part of Russian search engine spoofing spam botnet WebAlta.com under a new name.

Yanga is also a fake search engine, they are calling all their results from Yahoo using their API.

Yanga is part of a large Russian spam harvesting network that runs giant botnets worldwide (a front for professional spammers).

Most of these search engine bot owners are brainless in my opinion.They don't keep an eye on their access logs.They get banned then the morons keep coming back.
All search engine bots are BANNED on first sight on my domain

Is nothing to do with the google morons at all.That yanga scum just tried accessing my domain again and got blocked.I block ban the scumbag 91. so if it changes ip slightly it still wont be able to get in

 

the search quality is not excellent but better than many others, or say equal to Cuil.

 

errr, one more bytes the dust? Wonder why people have their time to waste on useless projects.
Or else Boom the market with something bigger then google, rather than just copying them.

 

As far as i am concerned,google is one of the worst nosey information havesters.I have sent several messages to cuil that he is blocked on my domain yet the moron still keeps trying.I don't click on googles links,i copy them

i have tested that with the same keyword with google and yahoo and found that the result is different, so it may not copy the result from yahoo or goolge, yet i am not sure.

It would depend on where the Yanga Server is (where the API requests are actually coming from) and where you are located when you do the search. Differences in location will serve up different results.

I have only read rumors that they are using the Yahoo API. This is probably a good bet, because I highly doubt that Google would allow them to use their API to begin with.

 

It was trying to access my database so i blocked the bastard.
Also soaked up heaps of bandwidth.
The IP it uses: 91.205.124.2 (which is indeed part of a spamnetwork)
Useragent: Yanga WorldSearch Bot v1.1/beta (http://www.yanga.co.uk/)

Blocking it is wise
