Hello everyone, few weeks ago a new classified ads website has been launched - https://kvizy.com. It's driven by two factors: privacy; minimalistic, yet advanced in terms of design and features. In terms of privacy I would like to know if you care (when posting ads) about: eavesdropping (http vs https); respect of Do Not Track setting; your information being shared with third parties (for ex. via Google Analytics, via Facebook 'Like' button etc.). What do you think about the design of the website? Is it easy for you to navigate? Could you say you intuitively know where to click next (no jokes about the close [x] button please)? Thank you all!
Since I run a classified site myself I have a couple of tips for you. Of course you don't have to implement them, but I'd encourage you to at least consider implementing them. 1. When I first started the classifieds, I only allowed registered members to post ads. Big mistake. If I were you, I'd allow users to post ads without a registration. There's a reason why craigslist or backpage (as big as they are) do not require a registration to post ads. 2. You have way too many categories. Some of those categories should be combined into one category. You should have 5-10 major categories top. The more categories, the more discombobulated your new visitors will feel. Simplicity and user friendliness is key. 3. Remove any warnings like: "If your'e a scammer, spammer or even some kind of evil genius - don't bother. Your ads are not welcomed here. " That will scare away the good users for sure, but the spammers won't give a sh*t about your warnings. And lastly. I'd make the font colors to stand out more. The grey font color is really not easy to concentrate on.
Thank you, qwikad.com, I appreciate your input. I agree with you on 'warnings', I gues spammers really don't care about them. You probably right about the colors too. I dare, though, to disagree on registration and number of categories. Let's say I want to try something different. Thanks again and best of luck to you!
