I'm jumping on the "What's my IP craze" here, but with an "improved" version this time.. It's mostly for fun and PHP practice, but I'm now developing (or trying to develop): www.spyber.com It's programmed in a mix of PHP, Java and HTML... It finds your IP, and tries to determine if you're "hiding" behind a proxy, and (try to) display your real IP and Proxy IP if you are. (50%-60% sucessfull in finding your real IP if you're behind a proxy. it's real hard (for me) to make it more accurate) It gives you your Operation System and Browser info/version (20-30 browsers and OS detected now, more will be added) Gives you your complete useragent. Your screen resolution and color depth (requires java). How you found the site (referer) And last but not least, it analyzes your useragent for know spyware/adware agents. (only 5 common ones added so far, many more will be added soon..) Please check it out and let me know if it displays the correct info, and if it's able to detect your proxy IP (if you're using one)... It does also (kind of) work on WAP devices like cellphones... (at least it worked on mine...) Please copy and paste your useragent here (or PM me) if it displays the wrong browser/OS info.. Any suggestions to other features I should add there?? Thanks.
Hi Redleg, Worked great for me. However didn't detect alexa as spyware. cheers and good luck with your project. Frank
got this: Quick Spyware and Adware scan: StumbleUpon Spyware/Adware detected! You should download and run the spyware/adware scanners listed below Thats not spyware its a firefox ext.
It was listed as spyware on a couple of anti-spyware sites, not for FireFox, but for IE(?), so it's possible there's another thing for IE with the useragent StumbleUpon that's defined as spyware??... I've removed it for now... The AdWare/Spyware check isn't complete yet, I'll add more to it later.. I know that. But this is not meant as a very serious project, I'm just having some fun learning PHP here..
is wrong because I clicked the link in your post. Not sure what the point is with the e-mail address at the bottom when you have it hyperlinked just above it anyway. I'll think I'l stick with myipaddress.com for ease of remembering and it just gives me what I need, nothing else. Drag, copy, paste, open htaccess, paste, upload and I'm back in my own back end.
Do you have any internet security/firewall programs that blocks your referrers?? It works fine for me.. The hyperlinked e-mail is in javascript, to prevent it being picked up by e-mail harvesting bots.. The bottom one is just a backup incase someone is surfing with a non-java browser.. I wont force anyone to use the site.. I'm just having some fun with PHP now. I'll add some more additional info there soon as well.. Probably some small pop-up windows that gives the visitors a short explanation about IP, Proxy, OS, Browsers, useragents etc... I've also planned to add color codes to the different Spy/Adwares, and add a pop-up window with some explanation about each one of them, how serious they are, what they do to your system etc... And thanks to the one of you who gave me a positive rep.. Appreciate it..
Added geotargeting (country) of your IP, and Proxy server IP (if you're behind one, and the script is able to detect it.. )... Found a free IP database here: http://ip-to-country.webhosting.info/
Sorry for bumping up my thread yet again, but I've done a few improvements to the site now.. Some more spy/adware definitions added (actually got some help/hints from Lavasoft there.. ), and I've fixed a couple of minor bugs. Go to www.spyber.com to check it out.. I've also made a small similar site for WAP/portable devices that doesn't support frames. you can find it at wap.spyber.com It displays your IP (geotargets it as well), Host and Useragent. Edit: Just for fun, here's how it looks like when some of the SE spiders drops by.. Yahoo http://216.109.117.135/search/cache...u=www.spyber.com/&d=FC77C90243&icp=1&.intl=us Googlebot http://216.239.59.104/search?q=cache:4CyyqU7_PnUJ:www.spyber.com/+&hl=no MSNbot http://cc.msnscache.com/cache.aspx?q=1409561749086&lang=en-US&FORM=CVRE
It shows me as: 81.169.174.240 Host: 81.169.174.240 Country: (DE) - GERMANY Proxy IP: No Proxy Detected* Useragent: Mozilla/4.8 [en] (Windows NT 5.1; U) Dxhtml.com Accept I'm in the United States. . via proxy.
