Is this normal? My earnings yesterday was .86 cents with more than 10 clicks, now its $3.00 with 10 clicks and the night is not over.

My opinion, yes it's very normal. Google is targetting ads to your content and somedays the ads pay well and somedays they don't. Then you try to optimize your content and so does Google enhance it's work. That's all we are discussing about. If it would be same everyday, no discussion.

Typically, the first ads of the day are the most productive -- before the advertisers blow thier daily budgets. Then, as the day progresses, EPC declines. On a good day, you'll have more advertisers with high-paying ads with higher daily budgets -- and higher EPC averages.

I've seen this almost every other day :) Just stick with it!

I had a record high day for me (6 month high basically) the other day. I also had one of the worst days I've had in 6 months in that same week :)

I had a $38 click one day -- first click of the day. Then, as the day progressed, the EPC average for that page went down to about $2. On other days, the average was lower.

I look at the clicks vs payout (averages per day of the week) and turn on/off my adwords ads. Wednesdays are best (I am sandboxed in google, so I advertise with them)

    California time...
    For any keyword...

    00:00 Maximum per click
<Between this period, the CPC comes down gradually >
    23:59 Least per click

This is purely my observation ...

By traffic yes, but by CTR, CTM, CPC and total earning Sat/Sun can be just like any other day.

True, sometimes the CPC can be extremely high in the morning :)
