I think you have obviously made a very fair/good point which a lot of people agree with, I dont think however you should be making your rep public like that as it is a private matter, if someone gives you green and leaves a comment they probably would not expect to see their comments publically displayed?
Well, at least we now know that Blogmaster is posting on the forum, even if under a different user name :/ 'you're the woman - md' Busted... Haha
Wow, Ninno saying something positive to his Queen?? I thought the -1 rep comment was funny as well, lol. I thought of this ahead of time, but when I posted it there was only the first 5 and people could have asked me to remove their name, others repped me after knowing I was showing the rep and still put in their name, that to me means they must not care. I don't expect everyone to agree. I will happily blur out anyone's name if they want. I originally posted it to prove a point that the bullies give out red for no good reason, but to my surprise that hardly happened. I think it's a good thing for everyone to see for some reason. Don't give me rep or leave your name, simple. Agreed! Thank you. I thought of Mike Dammann right away too, then wondered why he'd do that, and it did give a lot of points, but I guess it could have still been mdvaldosta. Does this tie in with candy at all?
I can see the point being brough out in this thread, at first I was a litle worried about posting anywhere incase people red-repped me but that didn't last long. On checking my rep I'm now in the gray. I gotted red-repped off someone from a thread I've never actually posted on (odd as it may seem) but hey thats life, it's still going on and I'm still learning something new everyday which is why I joined DP at the end of the day. Maybe people should not take the rep system to much to heart and just concentrate on building good web sites and hopefully earning some money?
These kind of questions that have already been answered .. If some one asked before this Rep System changed he/she will be bombed with RED Reps the comments are rather read the full post in the thread or first read thread before asking dump question ... This is good for newbies i love the new change.
I'm late... but I agree with colleen 100% I've had a single person (or 2-3 of them) tracing my "non general chat/political" posts down to make sure when they red rep me for my political posts, it counts as red instead of neutral. Normally I wouldn't care, but it has been going on by the same person (or 2-3 people) every 24-48 hours for probably 2-3+ months.
