I disagree. Yes, $10/week may only work at to 1.43/day, but just look at the potential. If you work hard and stick to it, you could so earn much more than that. Or, as you say, you could get a job in a supermarket making $6-$7/hr. and be stuck making not much more than that for the rest of your life. I would rather take the chance on a website where the potential is not limited. Plus, I find working on my website a lot more fun than I think working in a supermarket would be and I am home to take care of my three small children. It is a win, win for me. All sites have to start somewhere. Kudos to the op for your accomplishment. I found your post inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
well i actually do have a part-time job in a supermarket, earning ~$13 an hour. I say part-time, it's basically full time but literally all my free time is spent on the net. 8 months ago i didn't know what adsense was, what html was... what blogs were i'm addicted now. The possibility of being my own boss and getting all the profits - potentially unlimited, is great motivation for me. i've more sites in the pipeline so hopefully, i can start to build an adsense empire and steadily increase my earnings
Congrats on your new earnings. I'm hoping to at least make $10 /month very soon, but that's when I get my dedicated server up and running. Anyways, I hope you really do succeed with AdSense and I hope it makes it so you wont have to do that Supermarket job of yours...some have made AdSense into a living! Good luck! rep+
Sorry, I didn't mean to down working in a supermarket. Hope it didn't come across that way. If it did, I apologize. I was just trying to make a point. Congrats again. P.S. $13/hour is pretty good pay.
$10/week is a great milestone... I remember the week I setup adsense, I did $30 the first week, then $2 each week after that... Kind of a heart breaker... But with hard work I got the adsense paying a modest $40/week... The bigest milestone is the $100/month mark...
no offence taken! it's boring, depressing and highly frustrating, along with being pretty heavy work but it's good money, and means i can plough it into my websites, buy more sites etc.. if i could earn just $100/week from the internet, i'd drop the job like a hot potato despite the fact i'd be taking almost $300 of a pay cut
Hehe i agree that working in a supermarket is not nearly as satisfying as working on websites. When you like to work on websites, learn html/php/sql/stuff and make some money along the way that's perfect. But still don't put ALL your time into something that does only make $2 a day... It's tempting though...
you needed six months to get 100$. Wow, it is quite profitable job . The good thing is that you might now have approx. 300$ monthly . Congratulations!
i think it was something new on the site so alot of clicks, and no smart pricing yet... then i got smart priced to hell and back... so i had to tweak placements, and targeting...
good tips for begineer. There's a 10, there will be 100 . I have started from similar background and now i'm earning around 10$ per day your tips is good for beginner but remember to have better unique content. It's a great way to start.
I think his goal is to make more than 2$ per day, and thats why he is putting down much time into it (if he does) Kalle
