The majority party in Yemen is trying to pass a law that would make the minimum age to marry to be 17 years old.

Instead you have over 100 Muslim Clerics decrying the law saying that it’s “un-islamic”

Yemen’s parliament has delayed a vote on a child-marriage law that would have raised the minimum legal age for marriage to 17.

The parliament was to have voted on numerous laws on Saturday, including a revised election law. But a dispute over the election law between the country’s ruling party and opposition parties resulted in opposition members boycotting that vote and leaving parliament — meaning no other issues were taken up that day.

More than 100 leading religious clerics have called the attempt to restrict the age of marriage “un-Islamic.”

The issue gets personal for children such as Reem al Numeri. The 14-year-old girl recently divorced here. She was 11 when she says her father forced her to marry a cousin more than twice her age.

Al Numeri says she has been stigmatized by her divorce and now lives the life of an outcast. Without a husband or father to support her, she cannot attend school.

Where is the Mainstream Muslim outcry over yet another story of child abuse in Islam? Don’t expect to hear anything from American-Muslim-Brotherhood front groups like CAIR or ISNA. They are in full support with their silence.

When that happens a lot of people are going to die; probably more Muslims than not, simply due to their own incompetence - however there's going to have to be a lot of willingness to sacrifice on the West's side - and it will still be difficult because a billion or so of them will be willing to be blown up and used as living bombs.

I predict all hell will break loose, eventually China will get involved and end things, simply because of it's size and such - and then the world will rebuild itself and not let another "Islam" occur for another few hundred years or so.

Or maybe one day the world will wake up to what is going on and find a way to peacefully kill the extremists in their sleep; it wouldn't be the end of the world's problems by any means, but no promoting child rape, no female genital mutilation, no legal wife beating, no legal rape and no one blowing up others to appease a god that isn't real.
