Hi everyone, Just thought I'd share this with you. I made $10 today from my MMORPG I recently coded a PHP automated service that allows players to buy in-game items. Hopefully more is on its way Lee.
If you can do it once, you can repeat the process hundreds of times. The trick is to figure out what you did and how you did it, so that it may be repeated.
Hehe thanks I think it's a case of driving more traffic and hopefully more players. Then... when they're hooked and craving for more turns and in-game money mwuahah
Hey, congratulations! Great to hear that. Now you can expand your business by selling that script to others... Btw, was this for CivOnline... or for some other RPG? (It would be nice to see that game, if you care to share that... or at least PM )
Yeah this was Civ-Online that generated that $$ Hmmm.. what do you mean by sharing ? The source? PM me I'm interested.
I didn't mean source - just share the name of the game, like you did. Thanks for that Btw... I would be really careful with that name... even if you say "based on" you might carry a risk of lawsuit. Civ brand is big issue for Firaxis. (Bit off-topic: I did an interview with one guy at Firaxis who was working on Civ Warlords, and they keep pouring money into that brand. I suppose they wouldn't take lightly if somebody would try to make money using their name).
Congrats BRum, it's always exciting make your first sum of money after investing time and effort developing a site
Way to go! I remembe rwhen I first made money off my first site sale just recently, always a very exciting thing! Good luck with future income!
congrats on the earnings I used to run an online mmorpg, they are fun to run, but hard to program. Hoot
Heh, I don't think I'd get much of a dinner for $10. I did reinvest, it went towards 500 dir submissions
Congratulations on the first income. I think the first and second sales with a new venture are always the best- The first cause is always going to be great, but I love that second sale as well because it proves the first (probably!) wasn't a freak occurrence! Keep up the effort and I'm sure much more will come your way.
