Hey its a little late here on the east coast but I just released ProximityDeals.com please go to the pages and let me know what you think of the front page and the individual pages as well. I want this site to be totally different from the rest of those online offer guys - but same concept
I think everything looks very well intergrated together, so good job on that, however.. with such a long page it's is hard to try and decide what I actually want to read. I would try to find a way to make some of the key aspects stand out a little more.
I agree it is a little long, I did it on purpose - I mean I was looking at the others ones, fatwallet, slickdeals, etc they seemed long as well but with collapsible details I do not want this website to say save 5% on sponges from shoprite.com, I want it to be more geared to great offers online and special deals. what key aspects do you think needs to stick out more? should I create a label on the middle column? looking for advice - and first reaction - has anyone looked at the separate pages? I want some feedback on that as well - if possible
I would maybe highlight a mix of the offers that a) are a tremendous savings, and b) make you the most money. If you can find the right mix between them two I think you are good to go. Just went to check it out again, you have changed the color scheme around? Looks really good now! It's a lot more readible now that things are seperated more. Only other thing I would suggest... and this is really just personal preference, would be maybe do the background of your titles maybe a slightly different color then the rest... ie... The backgrounds for the text: Cosmetique | Makeup Collection For Free! Save 10% Off Apple's Ipod Nano Prices I would do the backgrounds of those cells just a shade or two darker then the background of the cells containing their descriptions. I find this really helps the titles standout and easy for eyes to get caught on them. Good luck with the site!
Theres alot of text and not alot of pics. I would suggest maybe either using web 2.0 pics or original pics for the products reviewed.
