Just because you have never heard of it means nothing, if you were smart you would research it before opening your mouth as it actually has a chance against Google. It currently beats Google in Russia with 68% marketshare to Google's 23% and it is the 7th largest search property in the world and growing twice as fast as most of engines according to comScore data. Yandex also just opened offices in the US and the Russian President just visited them. Finally they have over 2,000 employees and have been around longer than Google as a company.
Then good if it has beaten Google in Russia. But I meant for the thread starter who used the words "invades the world". I strongly disagree with you if you meant Russia as a world. I tried searching it in Alexa, it has a rank of 13k+. Wow, it has 2,000 employees? Have you ever thought that it didn't even reach half of Google has? And who cares if it existed earlier than Google. At least Google was the true site who invaded and is still invading the world. And that chance? Well maybe yes but I don't think that will happen. Well not for Yandex. LOL. Peace out dude! Have a great day!
You are probably one of the least informed search marketing people I have ever met. If you actually gauge anything off of Alexa you completely miss the boat. The point of the thread, if you can read, is that Yandex invades the world, not Yandex takes over the world, not Yandex is better than Google, not Yandex will be rob485's search engine. All I ask you you to is read. Yandex has always be focused on only Russia and now they are branching out and targeting other countries.
