Actual good traffic, no spam. Metrics via Google Analytics show it to be better than Google at this point, but obviously it is only a tiny fraction of my overall traffic. Are you seeing any traffic?

I never submitted to Yandex, Soso, or Baidu, and yet, here I am .. viewing some fairly decent results for my terms in all 3.

Yandex has been parsing our site for well over a year now, and Baidu, and Soso have too.

I'll never turn down an opportunity to be listed in a legitimate search index, even if it is located half way around the world. Listings being what they are, certainly cannot hurt when it comes to exposure in the global community.

All good points - I think many of the bigger local players are going to start spreading their wings a bit more (i.e. Yandex, Naver, Baidu, etc.)

Baidu is too different from Google, Yahoo and other western search engines. I don't think we'll see it as a global player in near future (for about 5 years).

Yandex.ru is winning in Russian market without any doubt , and I think it will have some good share in the world search too . I like the style of search and results of yandex.com

Yandex has been around for 13+ years and has 1,700+ employees - there engine is not really an alpha engine, but they are just starting to target the world market after secretly indexing many world sites over the last 2 years.

It is quite slow, but the search results are good. I noticed a lot of bot activity from them recently.

The problem I have with Yandex is that I don't see the search term on the traffic they send my websites, and it seems the traffic is garbage.

Not seeing keywords like goggle and yahoo not a problem, I figured it's Russian so it says n/a, OK fine.

I am getting so much traffic lately I finally clicked a few links to see the search page back at yandex, even after translating to English, the page made absolutely no sense relative to the website visited and I could not find my website in the search results.

Still letting them crawl like crazy, hopefully they will get their act together soon

Yandex is very interesting search engine. However, I think they are giving too much credit to the domain age...

Eight days ago it also introduced real-time searching abilities,
when just some minutes fresh articles gets into engine results.

Orange Crawler bot was created at californian department of Yandex
for extracting fresh & juicy content with whole OC cluster being able
to process more than 100k of messages per 1 sec & it's just started.
