How does Yahoo put webpages on their search engine rankings (just as Google uses link & keywords)?

 

It consider good incoming links, most relevant search phrases, quality contents (non-duplicate).

That's just what google looks for but still, yahoo has some other algorithms, one of which is the domain name. Yes, they put much weight on the keywords found in the domain name, ex. YourMostImportantKeywords.com. Also, they put weight on the meta description and keywords. Google doesn't take that so much into account anymore. But still it's a good practice to have good meta description and keywords. If you have a .com domain, it's good to specify the language of the site with meta tag.

It's just that Yahoo has a very different way of ranking the sites. As we pay too much attention to what Big G is saying and doing Yahoo usually gets the second chair. This might be a reason for the fall in the rankings.

I think yahoo can not change the style but it is having its algorithms these are help in finding the effective keywords that are help in increasing the ranking of the page but i can not change in the yahoo style just like a google

 

I think it is the same with Google
