I read a few days ago that Yahoo! was changing the way they charge per click, based on traffic quality. This went into effect immediately that day. Since then, my CPC has increased. However, I haven't changed my bids. Has anyone else noticed this happening in their campaigns? I understand we wouldn't pay any more than we bid, but our charges would drop if anything, but the opposite seems to have happened. It's probably my imagination, but thought i'd check to see if anyone else is thinking the same thing. Happy marketing everyone!
To be honest, after the whole AdWords quality score issue, I made all my landing pages 923769236 times better, and my quality score in Yahoo shot up to 5/5. I have always kinda lowballed my bids, but now the actual prices I pay are way lower and I'm honestly spending anywhere from 10% to 50% less without changing my bids (25 cent bids are getting about 12 or 13 cent clicks regularly now)... I was wondering why this was, and now I realize it must be because of this.
I am aware of this but instead of Yahoo charging me a higher amount, i was being charged about 5% less than my set min CPC. Care to give us a link on how to optimise a page for yahoo? i don't care about adwords anymore, they suck. lolz
