If the algorithm allows for it, it will be given. But we all know that in the algorithm Google says Yahoo! can not get PR10. :)

Maybe 9.99. Forget it, Yahoo or any other website will never have PR 10. But I guess yahoo has better worries to take care of. Page rank is the list of them.

There is a couple PR 10 sites.
    adobe.com
    cnn.com are both PR10

But a competitor of Googles, nope, prolly won't happen again. Yahoo use to be but they took them down to a PR9 about a year ago.

Have you guys noticed that google gave yahoo alot of free traffic thru adsense and let them take over spot #1 on alexa plenty of times to avoid being split up like microsoft for being a monopoly? there also has been articles on it. So yeah google is doing all this on purpose.

I do think that they are the biggest competitor to google carrying 20+% of the search load. Though I don't know if google will allow them to be 10 just because of competition. I could definitely see them manually intervening stoping the transition from 9 to 10.

Google is no.1 in Search till date. Yahoo has low ranking against google So there is closer competition. Google will not update pr of Yahoo.

Looks like Google don't want to see Yahoo with PR 10, but that is also not a case where google want to only see itself with PR 10, because this recent PR update have given PR10 to CNN.com as well.
