    I don't see anything particularly special about Yahoo's API.. it's just another API after all.. actually, if they had any sense, they'd go the same path as MSN.. direct xml/rss straight off the SERP.

    Unlike Google, the results would be consistent and actually usable.

    That said, I think a Yahoo API forum *would* make sense. Lots of folks are prolly going to want to know more about it.

    Of course, I'd hate to invite the gazillions of newbie questions that'll be posted, but hey - that's why forums are so popular I spose :)

    I've played around with the Yahoo::Search Perl Module and it makes it VERY VERY easy to look stuff up. Darn shame they limit to 5,000 queries per IP address, which makes it unusable for Shawn's keyword tracker, but otherwise I bet it would be soooo easy to add.

    A little creativity can get around the 5,000 queries per IP limitation. ;)

    If you have a block of IP address, I can imagine using those to spread the load ... and/or using web proxies ... but would either of those scale adaquately for the keyword tracker?
