I prefer to use Gmail over Yahoo mail. Yahoo mail just enabled HTTPS security by default now...

    My list would be.

    1. Have your own mail server.
    2. Gmail
    3. Outlook
    4. Yahoo Mail

I just ranked the big three and my favorite.

I used to love Yahoomail not until they upgraded and change into something like Gmail. It is really annoying!

They used to be easy to use and all, but then there were better alternatives.

I have never understood the need of putting one service versus another like if this were a boxing match, but I have to say that Yahoo Mail has been online since before Google started offering webmail services, and however Gmail is way too much better than Yahoo Mail, to the extent that the actual Yahoo webmail service is trying to emulate Gmail not just in features but design.

One thing is for granted, none of these such as those webmail accounts under different domain names that Microsoft offers. They have still the stupid tendency to deactivate your account or delete if you don't use it on a regular basis, as opposed to Gmail and Yahoo that having a given period of inactivity policy, never suspend or delete accounts even if you haven't use them for years!

In what way? Do they deliver your emails faster or better? Because honestly, that's all I want in a mailbox. I do not need it linked into a social account, or to a youtube channel, or to sign into my phone -- I just need it to send and receive emails efficiently.

Personally, I don't use either one. I've had an account at yahoo that I stopped using YEARS ago, but still log into periodically just to keep it active, and I have a gmail account I registered just to reserve my site name address -- same thing, I log into it periodically just to keep it active. For actual email use though, I prefer a copy of Thunderbird with my own domain in the email address.

I use both, but like the unlimited space on yahoo and I think gmail will snake you out faster to the police.

I have used Yahoo for a very long time, as well as Gmail. Yahoo seems to have more issues with mail going to spam folder that isn't always spam. Gmail seems to not have these problems as often. Actually some services are starting not to use Yahoo I have been noticing.

I loved the earlier version of Yahoo. But Yahoo changed its portal imitating Gmail. I think it has lost itys charm. Unlike Google, the new Yahoo has many problems and inconveniences.

GMAIL has lot of features. In Yahoo mail we can't create any forwarders. Their ads killing me and it's loaded automatically.

GMAIL is most of their's favorite including me ;)

No one can beat Gmail. yahoo has become copycat with bunch of non-working javascripts. Many times clicking on the Check mail do not work
