I like them both, clean, organized and quick to load interfaces.

Gmail is just far better not as much spam and Gmail also notices that when you repeatedly delete something from your inbox it auto marks it as spam. I personally like Gmail better. Although it is easier to get a Yahoo account because you don't have to link a phone number to Yahoo like you do Google.

Gmail has so many features, and is more secure. You don't get the pop up messages of spam, like you do in yahoo. But interesting enough, I still use yahoo, it's so easy to manage the mails.

I would probably prefer Yahoo if it weren't for the fact that I have had occasional technical problems with it. For short while the system had somehow lost the ability to log me in with my id & password, and a few times there have been problems in being able to view some of the messages from the mailbox. These issues tip the scales in favour of Gmail for the moment, but if I won't face any new technical issues with my Yahoo account, I'll probably switch my preference back to Yahoo at some point in the future.

My first mail service was Yahoo but now I prefer Google because it is very light as compare to Google.

I used yahoo at the beginning , but after switch to Gmail .
    I prefer Gmail .

Yahoo Spam Filter it's not very good . Right now , in my Yahoo INBOX folder , I have over 10.000 mails, and 90% are just spam and junk .
I've been using Gmail for about 4 years , and it's been pretty good, and very happy with the spam filter.

I've used both and for quick, easy webmail I prefer Yahoo. The interface is great, but I may just be saying that because I've been using it for a decade.
I actually prefer using my own domains and mail server, but for site registrations and things where I know I'm going to get spam and more or less useless junk thrown at me, Yahoo's my choice.

I am leaning more to gmail, gmail has many advantages compared to yahoo mail, one gmail account can be used in some places, unlike the yahoo one account for one activity, on the other hand gmail memory capacity also greater compared to yahoo and one of the newest from gmail is sorting emails by Conversation view.

If you can agree with Google's privacy policy then that would be my choice.

I prefer to use gmail, because it is secured, I had some security problems with yahoo before and it caused me some inconvenience. But happy to have gmail though.

I am using both. Technically Gmail take more time to load than Yahoo!, but Gmail is less Spamy, fast and having more functionality than Yahoo! My first A/C was on Yahoo! But Currently i like Gmail the most. Gmail is more Organized, fast, less Spamy and gives good look & feel.

Well it is difficult to say which is best. May be Yahoo is good for someone and for other Gmail is ok. It is clear that someone like yahoo or gmail because of some characteristics and services they provide.

If you usually send attachment file, Gmail is the most suitable because it will help you manage your file effectively. Or, you can use Google drive. Upload your file on Google Drive and send link to your friend. I love Gmail.
