In Australia there are three free to air commercial television stations, 7, 9, and 10, plus the government run stations 2 and sbs. A few years ago MSN partnered with channel 9 to create www.ninemsn.com.au Now Yahoo has partnered it's Australian domain with channel 7 to re-brand http://au.yahoo.com/ as 'yahoo7.'
Interesting - Yahoo getting into TV. In the US MSN partnered with NBC to make MSNBC, but I think I heard that they might be discontinuing that. Not sure of the full story. It would seem that they didn't really take advantage of the partnership fully. There was nothing really innovative that came out of it. I'm sure that will change in the future. We're likely to see a lot more partnerships between internet companies and TV stations.
