I have been doing we developing for a significant amount of time, however, this is the first time I have used Yahoo for web hosting. I am not sure if links are allowed to be posted in this forum, but in order for me to display my problem I will have to post two.

    Here is the problem:

When I go to http://syfonic.com my website loads perfectly fine.

    HOWEVER

When I go to http://www.syfonic.com my site I get this message: Error 400 - Bad Request.

I am wondering if anyone knows a solution to this problem or if anyone has encountered this issue before.

    Thank you for your time.

If it is about yahoo webhosting, then it may be how they have it set up (and the www version isn't linked to anything (specifically the non-www version). If that is the case, not sure what you can do other than contact yahoo.

I am not sure of all the possible reasons - maybe someone else would be able to suggest possible causes.

Re: the htaccess file - are you able to see it in your home or root folder?

There is no htaccess file in my root or home file. Do yall think I could make www a subdomain and just have it redirected back to http://syfonic.com or is www not a valid subdomain?

that happens here because forum is a subdomain on this site. www is not a subdomain.

As I said, I do not know how yahoo have configured their hosting and if it isn't related to htaccess (mod_rewrite?) - then you would need to look to get an answer from yahoo.

Do you know any other website owners using yahoo hosting? - does the same thing happen for them?

The www could maybe be called a subdomain even though it any decent host will always resolve the www and non-www version of a domain name when called (in my experience anyway). I do not know all the technical issues related to this and I am sure that Yahoo have some form of customer service for their hosting and you may need to contact them directly to get their explanation (maybe it is in the faq somewhere?)
