Yahoo Web Hosting Using Blackhat on MY Website!

    I just ran Xenu against my Yahoo hosted website www.vitallywell.net and it shows Yahoo inserting 1 pixel links to itself on every single webpage. Can't Google ban my site for blackhat seo tactics? This is a blackhat tactic I would never include for fear of being delisted.

    Here is one of the (server inserted) links from index.html
    Xenu reported link:
    http://visit.webhosting.yahoo.com/visit.gif?us1234023009

    "view source" from index.html (not in my html - server added):

    <!-- text below generated by server. PLEASE REMOVE --><!-- Counter/Statistics data collection code --><script language="JavaScript" src="http://us.js2.yimg.com/us.js.yimg.com/lib/smb/js/hosting/cp/js_source/whv2_001.js"></script><script language="javascript">geovisit();</script><noscript><img src="http://visit.webhosting.yahoo.com/visit.gif?us1234023385" alt="setstats" border="0" width="1" height="1"></noscript>

    1. server inserted - how do I remove?
    2. I used XsitePro no Yahoo website tools or counters?

    Any advice? I plan on bitching to Yahoo web hosting and ultimately stop using their hosting (I have other hosting accounts, this was my first). The only thing keeping me there is my primary email account - having difficulty converting to professional looking/acting email. I have vitallywell.com moved to Hostgator and trying to make the email work with that host.

    That is a concern. However, i would perhaps be more concerned about the hidden link to http://www. xsiteprodesigns .com/ in your whitespace of the footer. White on white will get you banned for sure.

    as i understand your question, i think its a yahoo static tools links, that's why its on every page,

    It will not harm your site ranking, as i also have a yahooo hosting site does not see any harm so far and my site has good ranking on Google

    Yes I have webhosting with yahoo and they do have a counter on each page to keep track of pageviews I believe.
