Yahoo Vs Skype ??

Skype is far better than Yahoo.

Don't forget other options in Yahoo that aren't found in Skype like playing games with the other party and adding new environments, drawing..etc

 

Skype IS GOOD MESSENGER DUE TO ITS VOICE AND VIDEO QUALITY.

 

both the messengers has its features. So if you are using it only for chat (video and audio) then you must prefer skype

 

Skype is better, i think so, but i keep using Yahoo cos it is more popular and most of my friends still use it

if video chat's concern, I think skype is way better than yahoo. but yahoo offers a lot of different fetuses like chatroom, audibles and others making it more fun to use.

The Skype is much better then the Yahoo...not just because of its interface, also because of the voice and the video quality...!

I'm sure I'm not breaking anything super relevant, but I'd like to chime in none the less.

On a PC, skype beats yahoo like a red headed step child in almost all ways. voice is better, video is better, it saves your conversation so I dont need to use notepad and such.
Yahoo however is definately more lightweight. while skype is a total and utter beating on the iphone for instance, it eats your battery power alive, and if you turn it on after chatting a bunch on your computer, expect your phone to be buzzing or hours.

YM on iphone on the other hand, doesnt eat batteries, and in general is pretty easy to use (although it doesnt save a lot of conversation, so take notes)

So my take?
for my employees : skype.
for my affiliates and custmers : yahoo.

I want to get messages from customers for sales all the time, and skype on my phone eats my battery too fast. Yahoo just feels really easy to get installed and going... Skype is this gigantic heavy monster.

 

Definitely right. What I like in Skype is, I can look back my previous conversation in a specific person.

 

Yet another reason I use yahoo for affiliates and non employees... Skype contact categories for mac is basically non existant.
Yahoo is just better for managing 1000+ contacts.

ofcourse I love icq the most, if not for the non stop spam I receive on it...(and lack of everything but chat LOL)

 

Well skype is good for calling and video calling purposes.

 

Skype is superior to yahoo in many ways. Although I have to say it has gotten a bit worse ever since Microsoft took over. Kind of sad tbh.

 

I only use skype now. Actually, I haven't even installed yahoo chat at all for at leat a couple of years.
