    Skype is far most better than Yahoo! Messenger... The users of Yahoo incredibly shrinked due to spammy interface and unclear voice quality

    Skype is far more better than yahoo chat of course.. You can compare the voice qualities of both and then figure out your self that which one is the best! :)

    I go for skype. I believe skype has a clearer voice quality than yahoo. but when I'm chatting, I use yahoo. Yahoo is more popular than skype in term of people owning the account.

    The overall experience I had with skype from last couple of hours is really amazing as compared to yahoo. The quality of video as well as audio is really good, so I transferred all my yahoo friends to skype. Whoever did not had the skype account, I made them do it by not signing in yahoo messenger for almost a month :D

    Now I only use skype and sometimes msn. I even talk to my friends abroad by calling from skype directly to their mobile phones ;)

    For normal text chatting Yahoo is best with the smiley's it is having.

    Skype is much more secured than yahoo because it's encrypted in the connection between chating.
    But yahoo is in clear text, so you can sniff other's chat using sniff yahoo messenger programs.
    So, yahoo is too bad :(
